Lalique Hood Ornament, Silvered Bronze

Mantiques Modern

A rare Lalique car mascot, this example depicts 'The spirit of the Wind', also known simply as Victory, in a beautiful streamlined manner.

During the early 20th century luxury car owners coveted René Lalique's hood ornaments for their opulence and refined designs. He created only 29 examples in the span of the early 1920s until his passing in 1945, this current example was fashioned slightly later in the mid-century in silvered bronze.
