A fine and rare Italian backgammon set in the form of an oversized leather bound book. When closed, the set appears to be a large leather book titled 'manuale dei giochi e dei divertimenti', or Games and Entertainment Manual, a cheeky nod to what's inside. This set has developed a beautiful patina over time and retains most all of it's original gilded accents.
