Miguel Berrocal, Paloma Jewelry Puzzle Box

Miguel Berrocal

A fine and rare jewelry box by Miguel Berrocal. Named the Paloma jewelry box after Pablo Picasso's daughter, this incredible creation is a sublime example of the intricacy of Berrocal's work.

Paloma Box unfolds from a minimal cube into a jewelry chest and vanity featuring sixteen felt-lined drawers, topped by a transformable medallion. When opened, the medallion reveals two engraved mirrors and a central effigy where additional components from Retrato de Maria, Opus 126, can be added.

Initially intentioned as an edition of 2000, the full edition was never realized due to the complexity and time-consuming nature of the product.
