A fine and rare Coco De Mer specimen, mounted on a nickel base. The Coco De Mer (Lodoicea), is the world's largest seed, endemic only to two islands in the Seychelles. Known for it's fertile shape and mythic history, it received it's colloquial name translating to 'coconuts of the sea' in French as sailors would find them floating in the ocean on their voyages.
